Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs)
The installation of an eligible system allows for the generation of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) that may be sold or assigned to a certified retailer. The number of STCs created is based on a number of factors including:
- The climate region where the system is installed
- The amount of renewable energy produced by the system or the amount of electricity consumption it reduces
For example, in Brisbane under this scheme, if you purchase a 6 kWh solar system you could receive up to $2,664 based on an STC rate of $36.
Small-scale Technology Certificate Eligibility in QLD
